Side Trip

Agi and I have been wanting to do a side trip from Budapest to the lovely lakes of Western Austria -- near Salzburg -- such as the town of Halstatt. Our little bambino, however, makes freely traveling all over the place more difficult. Now that he's settled here we're thinking it's best not to uproot him again and get him used to sleeping in a new bed -- even if it's in the same time zone. It appears, however, that Agi is up for letting me take a three day weekend "man trip" and Istanbul or Greece crossed my mind. But saving some money -- and going to a cooler clime -- are both desirable and so a train trip westward to Slovenia is looking very good. It'll take 9 hours to get to the capital Ljubljana and one day I'd do a day trip to the apparently amazing Lake Bled. I'm excited.
